Green Fair 2018
March 31 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pmfree
Penwith Green Fair returns to St John’s Hall Penzance this year, with a wide variety of stall-holders.
Over 20 community groups, green businesses and environmental organisations will be taking part in this year’s event, which will take place on Easter Saturday (31st March) between 10am and 3.00 pm.
Information and ideas will be available on a number of topics, including health, wildlife protection, transport, food and animal welfare . There will also be plenty of opportunity to buy cakes, plants and other goods.
Among this year’s new exhibitors will be a local car-sharing scheme, a cycling campaign group and a project to start a community orchard.
The Green Fair, which has been held in Penzance every Easter for over 30 years, brings together in one place most of the local organisations which seek to put green ideas into action. Jonathan How, one of the event’s organisers, said: “The Green Fair gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy and celebrate the ideas and businesses that can make a real difference to people’s lives in West Cornwall”.
“It is a great event to find out more about what’s going on across Penwith, and we hope it will inspire people to get involved,” continued Jonathan, “and demonstrates how much more we can do if we work together for the common good”.
As well as stalls and displays, there will be refreshments and music on offer from local bands including Rumba Diabolo, Penzamba and Western Wynde.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
