The Cornwall Green Party covers the six parliamentary constituencies in Cornwall:
- North Cornwall
- South East Cornwall
- Truro & Falmouth
- St Austell & Newquay
- St Ives & Penzance
- Camborne & Redruth
Together we offer a political voice for people in Cornwall who believe in the common good.
What does this mean? Basically, we want to see three things: a fairer society, sensible economic decisions that take account of long-term effects, and an environment that protects physical and mental well-being.
We believe in better public services, including transport. We support local enterprise and business. And we know that well-paid and skilled work is essential if communities are to thrive.
Our main focus for 2019-2022 is to increase Green representation at all levels of local government: adding to our existing tally of parish, town and county Councillors. Working together, Green Party elected representatives can and will make a difference. So we welcome people who will help us to deliver leaflets, display posters and of course spread the Green message amongst family, friends, colleagues and neighbours.
Both local branches offer members a range of activities including visiting speakers, film nights and social events. We also have Green Teams that cover local areas in and around St Austell, Truro, Falmouth, Newquay, Wadebridge, Bude and Liskeard. These teams meet socially, hold small events for fundraising and awareness, and support their local candidate in an election. To join or set up a Green Team, go to Get Involved.
